Le Fouquet’s Cannes is my trusted French Riviera restaurant. Every time I’m in Cannes, the Majestic Barriere Hotel and Le Fouquet’s brasserie (one of its restaurants) have become a pleasant habit for me.
The famous Fouquet’s brasserie in Cannes is located in the sumptuous Le Majestic Barriere hotel, just a few meters from the Palais des Festivals, so specially in my last stay in the French Riviera, during the 70th Cannes Festival, it was the ideal place for having lunch, for dining or to go there for a drink. In fact, during the Cannes Film Festival Week, I needed to take every time it was possible a short break to rest and relax between meetings, hairstyles, red carpets, up and down on the famous Croisette and gala’s party of all kinds.
What’s better than enjoying a sunbathing day having a lunch on the Hotel Barriere’s pool terrace between movie star and filmmakers? The menu, more Mediterranean than Le Fouquet’s restaurant in Paris, is an explosion of flavors for the taste buds! This time in one of my lunches at Le Fouquet’s Cannes I tried the famous Fouquet’s caviar. I was impressed with the goodness and it was a great starter before my main dish, the cod fillet. As always everything was perfect, from the dessert to the café gourmand (you can see it in the photos below) in a prestigious location with red and gold furnishings in which the lines and motifs of the 1920’s blend into new decorations with a more contemporary allure.
