Nouvelle Vague: Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran

Le Meridien Bali

After two weeks immersed into Bali traditions, my back flight was waiting for me just few days later.

When the end of your trip is coming the willingness to make the most of your time is pervading your mind and that is why I decided to reach the south of this fantastic island and specifically Jimbaran, South Kuta.
Yes, because this area is a kind of Bali in Bali, where in few kilometers you can find all the island particularities, from pristine beaches, to amazing temples to fantastic restaurant and hotels.
In fact the beating heart of Bali is here and here you can feel not only the strong tie to tradition but also the desire for the «new» and the modernity, like surfers in the close Dreamland beach always waiting for the new wave to ride.

And if you are looking for a place which is exalting this contraddiction, the new Le Meridien Hotel in Jimbaran is perfect for you. Among all the traditional structures this hotel in fact is the best example of this «new wave» coming offering you a comfortable and luxury stay in a beatiful structure, perfectly integrated with the environment.

I felt myself immediately at “home” for the strong connection with Paris, from the wonderful signature breakfast where I found all the Parisian pastry that I like: macarons, eclairs and chocolate croissants. In fact, not everyone knows that the group Le Méridien was precisely founded by Air France and that the first Le Méridien Hotel has been built in Paris.
And if that is not enough, just cross the road and there you can find the pristine beach of Jimbaran, where you can relax during the day and enjoy one of tops in Bali in the evening: having dinner on the shore with your feet into the water (only if you wish).

Just choose your favorite restaurant and enjoy your lobster with a bottle of local white wine.
The time run very fast there and after few days where everything was perfectly arranged, from the comfortable rooms where the design was mixing local elements to contemporary west furnitures, to the fantastic pool where I could swim directly from my laguna room, with its bar under the waterfall, to the roof top and the fantastic view on the sunset on the bay, it was the time to go.

The last swim in the 1300 sqm. lagoon pool and a quick breakfast.

I took the elevator lost in thinking the moments of my Bali trip, the nice music was making the soundtrack of my thoughts and my eyes fell on a small plate on the elevatore wall, «Nouvelle Vague», new wave, the name of the band collaborating with Le Meridien.

Paris was calling me, finally I had made the most of my time and I felt ready to go home. An espresso and two macarons at the bar reminded me what I left before leaving and where I had to go and wait for the new wave.
